The Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, has constituted an Expert Committee for the formulation of National Rubber Policy with CDS as one of the members. To provide policy inputs that are theoretically informed, empirically based and reflective of the concerns of all the stakeholders, National Research Programmme on Plantation Development (NRPPD) at CDS organized a National Stakeholder consultation wherein all the stakeholders (growers, trade union leaders, industrialists, Traders, NGOS and others) from different parts of the country participated.
Inaugurating the stockholder consultation Shri K M Mani, Finance Minister of Kerala said that The New Policy will hep to addressing the varied issues being faced by the sector and boost the plantation industry.
