CDS is conducting a capacity building programme between 29th February and 4th March 2016 for Doctoral students and Assistant Professors belonging to “SC, ST, Minorities and other Marginalized Groups”. This programme, funded by ICSSR, intends to enhance the research capability of young scholars.
Objectives and Contents:
The proposed programme aims to introduce students to methods and approaches in social science research, and familiarize them with tools of quantitative and qualitative analysis including survey methods, statistics and econometrics as well as the use of various databases. The five-day programme will consist of lectures, library visits, computer workshops and assignments.
Application process:
Research Scholars and Assistant Professors in Social Sciences are encouraged to apply. A maximum of fifteen participants will be selected based on their suitability for the programme. The programme is residential. CDS will bear the costs of 3-tier AC train fare by the shortest route along with meals and accommodation for all participants.
