ICSSR Sponsored Invited Lecture Series on  Challenges and Issues in Indian Agriculture

The Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Thiruvananthapuram is organizing an invited lecture series on Challenges and issues in Indian Agriculture from May 9 to  11, 2022. The objective of the programme is to gain insight from experts/academicians working in the field of Indian agriculture. The lectures will cover a diverse range of topics related to land, labour, gender, output markets, sustainability, and food security in the context of Indian agriculture. The lectures will be delivered by distinguished faculty affiliated to academic institutions across the country.

The programme welcomes applications from PhD students and early career researchers in any area of social sciences and interested to pursue research in agricultural economics, development studies, and development economics. Participants are supposed to attend all the lectures in online mode. Participants who successfully complete the programme will be given a course completion certificate. Maximum number of participants for the programme will be 50. Preference will be given to younger teachers. The last date for applications is 30th April, 2022. Selected candidates will be intimated by 3rd May, 2022.
